I love this idea! Link hacking goombas apart and headshotting hammer bros. with arrows while Mario irritates the inhabitants of Hyrule by jumping on their heads... it could be huge!

I've already put myself hard to work on the Game Design Document of the cross-nation dramatic prequel where the firm Fascist father of Mario & Luigi unite with whatever mystical beings produced Link against some sort of Godzilla-like Bowsannondorf. Playing the EXACT SAME tune on a lyre will transport you to the opposite allied kingdom (where permitted).
Plus, surely there could be the mario bros' homely mother distressed and in need of rescue, in some sort of genetic synergy. Clearly their goals were of noble volition, for they turned out as working class plumbers, instead of basking in the riches of inherited wealth.
Hyrule is obviously a kingdom of magical happenings, while Mushroom Kingdom is clearly an exhibitor of these magical effects... as if the land itself was cursed with fireball breathing piranha plants and oxygen-rich water that is about as viscous as maple syrup.
It's high time for the continents to reunite in a pangeaic fashion... but first, the prequel must be penned.

Brilliant! An idea for a companion/response post to this was running through my head a second ago but it's gone now. Something about postmodernism and the power of image. It will come back, I'm sure.

I wonder, if Edward were around Bella during her menstrual period, would that like, overpower his ability to fight his vampiric instincts? Not having seen the movie I can only conjecture that this issue was not addressed.
